The Magic Academy Event Series
Magic Academy is a two-part event series designed to bring a newcomer to Magic the Gathering up to speed. The first meeting is a free event where players can come to learn how to play. The second meeting, $36, will give you an introduction to the art of deck-building. Players are not required to attend both and sign up for each individually
Part One - Magic Academy: Learn to Play
Price: Free
Magic Academy: Learn to Play is the first of a two-part series. Brand new players will learn how to play with a video demo then be paired up to play friendly games. Experienced players can use this event as their opportunity to teach family and friends and help welcome the next generation of Magic players into the Gathering.
To facilitate their friendly games, each player will receive:
- A Welcome Deck
- A Learn-to-Play brochure
- A pocket reference card
- A sticker sheet.

Part Two - Magic Academy: Deck-Building
Price: $36
Magic Academy: Deckbuilding is the second of a two-part series. Brand new players will be guided through deck building and their first foray into Limited format play. Experienced players can use this event as their opportunity to teach family and friends and help welcome the next generation of Magic players into the Gathering.
Players will be shown a video to guide them through building a 40-card sealed deck, and then be matched up for friendly games with experienced players available to answer questions.
Each player will receive:
- 6 MTG Play Boosters
- A Learn-to-Play brochure
- A pocket reference card
- A sticker sheet

Mask Policy
Masks covering the nose and mouth are required.
Event Cancellation Policy
- If WE cancel an event you will receive a full refund
- If YOU cancel your event attendance before the event begins you will receive Store Credit.
- If you cancel after the event begins you forfeit your fee.
Store credit does not expire.
