A kitten lies in the snow, only to be rescued by a kind young man, Mano Taiyo. Nursing the ailing kitten back to health, Taiyo names his new charge "Yuki." As a first time pet owner, however, Taiyo struggles with Yuki's very particular palate.
Mano Taiyo finds a kitten dying on a snowy night. He names the cat Yuki and nurses it back to health, but Yuki proves difficult by refusing to eat any store-bought cat food. Having never cooked before, Taiyo sets out to make a meal for his new charge.
Shortly after moving into his new home, Taiyo finds another kitten in need of help. He names her Konatsu and takes her home, but Yuki is uncertain about his new housemate.
Taiyo continues his journey of becoming a responsible cat owner for his pet cat Yuki. In fact, he's really getting the hang of it! So much so that he's helping his older sister Asahi find her perfect feline match.
